Already really looking forward to it! We’re building a list of things we’ll probably be looking at buying when we’re down there. I guess we’re getting B’s turn this year. This is the first time in several years where we’ve actually made it down there.

B has gone to PAX every year for years and I think this is the first year he’s NOT going. So sad! Enjoy!!

They have a bunch of hotels all around. We aren’t sure yet if we’re going to try to book at the same hotels that our friends are staying at, or if we’re going to pick one of the ones closest to the convention centre. But, all of the parking at the hotels is similarly ridiculously over-priced. Might try to figure out if a nearby parkade would be cheaper. If we can manage 3 weeks in Japan with only 1 carry-on bag each, I’m sure we won’t have a lot of luggage to carry with us to the hotel, so that won’t be a problem.

On previous trips to Seattle I’ve stayed at the Red Lion. Its right near the convention centre and not quite as expensive as some of the other ones in the area. I recommend it. It is expensive to park there though. If you don’t have many bags I recommend leaving a car in an over night parkade near there. Then you don’t have to deal with the hotel parking lot.
