Celebrating my geekness
Just quickly checking in thanks to the miracle of post scheduling. I am currently celebrating my birthday with about 75,000 geeks in Seattle.
Last year on my birthday, I promised myself a finished manuscript, ready to start shopping around. Unfortunately, I’m terrible at getting people gifts that they actually want, and it seems the same holds true for getting myself things too. I do not have a manuscript ready to shop. However, I DO have a draft ready for some heavy revisions. So, I’m still calling it a success. I blogged about it in more detail on my writing blog for those who are also following me over there. In the mean time . . . PARTY!!!
*pops cork on virtual champagne & starts filling glasses* Anyone else want to join me in a virtual celebration, feel free to grab some champagne and join me in the comments!

You've landed on the blog and online home of Jennerosity. I am a writer/teacher/gamer/story enthusiast who will be geeking out a bit here. Feel free to join me in the comments or by sending me an email (there will be a form when I get around to it). Other things that I enjoy which will likely come up here from time to time are travel, history, anime, Star Trek, steampunk, and girly geeky things.

Happy Birthday! PAX seems like a fantastic way to spend a birthday weekend :D I’ve got a friend who lives down Seattle way that has gone and I am very jealous, maaaybe next year for me.
Grats on the book, I too would consider that a success. It’s the whole NaNo mentality, sometimes you need to set a crazy goal just to see how close to it you can actually get :) Good luck with the revisions!!

Thanks for the congratulations! I am definitely the type of person who needs to set deadlines and goals for things. Sometimes I even give myself a deadline just to make a decision about my next deadline :D I’m actually looking forward to doing the revisions on the book too. I just know that I always learn stuff about writing when I write and I’m hoping that the same will be true about revisions (even if I just learn that I don’t like it as much as writing the first draft).
