Harry, A History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter PhenomenonHarry, A History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter Phenomenon by Melissa Anelli

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The book really surprised me by how well written it was. I was expecting something more akin to a shovel-ware companion book, but the author did a very good job of documenting the course of the fandom alongside her own personal journey. It got a little confusing to keep track of when things were happening at times because of the way she would follow though with one aspect of Harry Potter and then have to go back to explain the roots of another one. It made me want to re-read the series (not to mention purchase the complete set of them).
