So, if you decided to click through the slideshow in the previous post, you’ll have caught on to the fact that Benevolance and I are expecting our first baby. The slideshow was our cute way of sharing the news with our parents earlier this week. Now that the news is out, it feels really good to finally be able to talk about it. Part of the reason I haven’t blogged much in the past little while was because when you have a secret, it’s hard not to reveal and hint too much about it.

I know that not everyone who comes here will be interested in reading pregnancy related posts though. Plus, there may be some people who start coming here, specifically for just that information. So, I’ve decided that I need to reorganize my site structure a little. Part of that is introducing a new post category “Baby Geekness.” The other part is going to be picking a new theme. I know some of you love this one, but it was built pre-WordPress 3.0 so it won’t easily support the reorganization that I have in mind. I’m also toying with the idea of figuring out a way to separate the RSS feeds of the site, so people could just subscribe to the information they are looking for, but that may be too complicated for me.

Part of the re-design of the website is also going to include some FAQ’s specifically about the baby stuff. So, any and all baby/pregnancy questions you have for me that you want answers for, let me know in the comments!

What will you do if the baby (Phil) isn’t a geek? What if they turn out to like sports and celebrity gossip? What if they don’t like to read?????

Do you have any pregnancy-related cravings?

Have you decided on a birth plan (i.e. natural childbirth, a home birth, etc?)

Are you going to continue the tradition (is a tradition? I’m not sure actually) of giving your baby the middle name of one of its grandparents?
