Yup, we're really enjoying it and hoping the the refreshing break will boost our vigor when we get back home. I've already started making lists of projects and things I'd like to change when I get home.

I know just what you mean. Time away from the daily grind always helps to get Dave + I inspired for new projects. Enjoy refilling your wells!

At the current moment, given that I just finished typing a memo for my teachers to read tomorrow, my writing goal is to write memos that are self-explanatory, fun to read, and remain in my teachers' memories! Beyond that, I guess my other writing goal would be to update my blog more often.

My goal is just to make enough money writing so I don't have to get a "real" job. It'll start with delivering my manuscript to the publisher on Jan 15. Then I have to come up more money-generating writing projects.

Oh yes, and finish the novel I've been working on for the last 2 years. Target finish date...September.

Hmm, it's kind of hard to not have a writing goal that doesn't somehow feed into career goals. It's circular in that annoying way.

But, let's go with writing stories that resonate. I really don't think I write stories people can relate to. Not sure how to go about that other than to be brutally honest when I write. And that would involve really closing the door when I write for the first draft. It's one of those flimsy goals again, but I'm willing to find out how to go about it.

I really do hope that 2010 brings better things for you. I know it can be difficult to believe that things can and will fall into place.

I love the picture of you in NY, by the way.

Hugs!

Hey, if I had someone to cook for me I may have never picked up a wooden spoon! Sadly my husband poisoned me by accident too many times so I had to step up. We can't do everything and not everyone is passionate about being in the kitchen and that's totally OK.
